Medical Bike Fit
Our Medical Bike Fit includes the services of a Pro Bike Fit but with the addition of a full Physical Therapy Evaluation. The Medical Bike Fit is intended to address the unique issues of cyclists returning to cycling after injury rehabilitation. Or cyclists who are suffering from chronic injuries.
Our skilled, licensed Physical Therapist will work with you to understand your medical history, any existing injuries, and your cycling goals. They will then perform a thorough assessment of your body’s postural alignment and movement patterns, allowing them to make targeted adjustments to your bike fit.
A Medical Bike Fit may lead to a referral to a sports doctor for further evaluation or a physical therapy prescription.

Pre-Purchase/Post Purchase Bike Fit
The most important parameter when considering purchasing a new bike is the bike fit. Bike Fit refers to the bike geometry and bike configuration that best matches your specific body dimensions. If the bike fit doesn’t match your body then the bike will be uncomfortable, not powerful and not aerodynamic.
The bike industry is moving toward online sales. Online retailers’ online sizing tools are rough estimates at best. Let us help you find the right size bike whether buying from a brick-and-mortar store or an online retailer. With your bike fit coordinates and your Sport Speed Lab Bike Fit Report you can shop confidently.
Pre Purchase Fit
- Includes a Pro Bike Fit on the Retul Muve fit bike.
- The fit yields your specific fit coordinates.
- A list of bikes and sizes included in the Fit Report.
A Post Purchase Bike Setup and Fit Check is available as an additional service.
- Your bike is setup according to your fit coordinates.
- Retul is used to check fit and digitally measure the bike.
The Pre-Purchase Bike Fit takes 2 to 3 hours to complete. Post-Purchase bike setup and fit check takes about 1.5 hours.
Pre Purchase Fit $325*
Post Purchase Fit $250*
Pre Purchase + Post Purchase Fit $575*

Aerodynamics Testing
Bike aerodynamics testing is a crucial process for optimizing the performance and efficiency of the bike/rider system. Aero testing involves analyzing the airflow around a bike and its rider to identify areas of drag that can be minimized. Using state-of-the-art Aerosensor testing equipment in real-world situations, we can assess how different bike fit positions and equipment choices impact aerodynamic performance. By refining these elements, cyclists can achieve higher speeds with less power output, enhancing both speed and endurance. Our cutting-edge bike fit services, aero testing and expert team ensure that every aspect of the bike/rider aerodynamics is meticulously tested and optimized for peak performance.
- Test different equipment choices (helmets, extensions, etc.)
- Test different equipment setups (high hands or low hands, etc.)
- Test different bike fit positions
- Determine CdA for input into performance modeling software
- Testing protocol will be designed to meet the cyclist’s needs
Pro Aero Testing: $400 (up to 2 hours testing)
Pro Aero Testing + Pro Bike Fit: $700 (up to 2 hours testing)
Saddle Pressure Mapping Fit
Our saddle fit service uses cutting-edge bike saddle pressure mapping technology. We understand that every cyclist is unique, and their comfort matters. Our fitter will help you determine the correct saddle for your bike and anatomy. Saddle width and positioning will be determined. Our state-of-the-art pressure mapping technology provides a detailed analysis of your sitting position on the saddle, highlighting areas of high pressure and potential discomfort. We’ll pressure map and test several different saddles then select the best saddle.
Common problems addressed include genital numbness, hotspots, and general saddle discomfort. Our saddles are guaranteed for 30 days. If the saddle doesn’t work for you, we will exchange it for another saddle.
A pressure mapping saddle fit takes about 1 hour.
$125 + cost of the saddle

Marginal Gain Race Day Service
Marginal gains refer to small improvements that can add up to significant performance gains. We recently wrote a blog about Marginal Gains By focusing on optimizing every aspect of their bike and equipment, cyclists can achieve significant improvements in their overall performance. For example, small changes in bike fit or tire pressure can lead to improved aerodynamics and reduced rolling resistance. With the right approach and attention to detail, cyclists can harness the power of marginal gains to unlock their full potential and achieve their goals on the bike.
Some of the options we can provide to cyclists looking for Race Day Marginal Gains:
- Install new Shimano Dura Ace chain hot waxed with Silca Super Secrete wax
- Install latex tubes
- Install new Conti GP5000 tires
- Ultrasonic chain cleaning
- Hot waxing existing chain
- Clean drive train
- Bike Fit check (for Pro Bike Fit clients)
- Pro Bike Fit
Cyclists and triathletes will have different needs and goals. Give us a call to discuss your unique needs and we’ll put together a Marginal Gains package and quote for you.
